Redoing my garage lighting made aircraft schematics click

I was adding new lights in my garage. The old wiring was a total mess, no labels anywhere. It took hours just to trace one circuit. Then I thought about aircraft avionics panels. We always mark each wire with clear tags. Doing that at home cut my work time in half. Now I see why our shop rules are so strict.

Asked the owner at my local spot once, he said one bad customer experience can ruin it for everyone (like someone breaking a display then arguing about it). They make strict rules to avoid having to play referee all day. Found it helps to just follow their posted list even if some things seem small. Saves a lot of hassle when they know you're not going to cause trouble.

Yeah, that part about one bad customer ruining it for everyone is so true. Honestly, I just read the rules and follow them, even the small ones. It makes the whole visit smoother for me and the staff.
