I finally saw a chicken coop made from an old shipping container
Visited a small farm near Salem, Oregon, and they turned a 20-foot container into a coop with built-in nesting boxes. The farmer said it's predator-proof and stays cool in summer, which got me thinking about different building ideas. Has anyone else tried using something unusual like this for their flock?
Oh man, that's a really bad idea... chickens need way more than a storage unit. They need sunlight, fresh air, and space to scratch around. That dark, closed space would make them sick really fast.
