inI finally rewatched the whole 'Lost' series with my kids last month
Oh man, they're in for such a weird ride...

inWarning: I used to think any old bone folder was fine, but then I tried a proper Teflon one.
Made that upgrade (after scratching a few projects, oops).

inMy writing group gave me two prompts and I had to pick one
Choosing between two good prompts is the best kind of problem. Getting stuck means both ideas have real juice. I would have gone with the forgotten song, hands down. There's something creepier and more personal about a memory that only exists for you. The key is a solid classic, but the song feels like it has more room for a real emotional gut punch. Your locksmith story sounds cool though.

inVent: A stuck damper in an old Boston brownstone took me a full day to free up
Ugh, those old brownstones are the worst for that. Next time try heating just the hinge pin with a torch before you pry, it can break the rust seal faster.

inI found a way to keep hydrangeas from wilting in a heat wave
That's a genius trick with the dish soap. My own attempts at keeping plants alive in the summer usually involve frantic watering and a lot of sad, droopy leaves. I once tried to save a basil plant by putting ice cubes on the soil, which just made a muddy mess. Your method sounds way more scientific. Do you find it works better on certain flower types than others?
