Slicing bread hot from the oven is my baking rebellion
I know most bakers insist you must let bread cool completely before cutting, but I disagree. In my experience, slicing it warm gives a better texture and flavor. When I bake a loaf, I wait only five minutes after it comes out, then cut it open. The crust stays crispy, and the inside stays light and fluffy. I learned this from my mom, who always served warm bread with dinner. Some say it makes the bread soggy, but I have not seen that happen. For me, that first warm slice is the best part of baking. I respect the common rule, but my results tell me to keep doing it my way.

Did my friend's warm bread get soggy? Nope, stayed crispy and fluffy.

Wow, your friend must have some magical anti-sogginess bread. Mine turns into a sponge if I even look at it wrong with butter. What's the secret, a force field?
