Hit 50 cherry tomatoes off one plant this week

I've been growing balcony tomatoes for about 3 years now, mostly just for fun and to save a few bucks at the grocery store. This season I put a single patio cherry tomato plant in a 5 gallon bucket with some basic potting mix and a cheap cage from Home Depot. I didn't do anything special, just watered every morning and gave it some liquid fertilizer twice a month. Well this week I decided to actually count what I picked instead of just tossing them into salads. 50 tomatoes from one little plant sitting on my 4th floor balcony in Portland. That surprised me because I always figured balcony growing was more of a hobby than a real food source. Now I'm wondering if I should add a second bucket next spring or push it with a bigger container. Anyone else keep track of their yields and get surprised by how much you actually grow?

50 from one bucket is solid but wait til you try a 7 gallon fabric pot with a Sungold variety. I got 112 off a single plant last year in Seattle and it was way less maintenance than I expected.

Wait, 112 from one plant? Are you sure you didn't accidentally count the leaves too or something? (Just kidding, that's seriously impressive.)
