PSA: I switched from a corded clipper to a cordless model for my mobile cuts

Had a client in a third floor walk-up with no outlets nearby, so I had to choose between my reliable old corded Wahl or a new cordless set I got on sale. I went with the cordless, thinking it would be fine for a quick fade. Halfway through, the battery died and I had to finish with my shears and a prayer. It added like 20 minutes to the cut and the guy was super patient but I felt awful. Anyone have a cordless brand that actually holds a charge for more than 45 minutes?

Been there, done that, got the bad haircut to prove it. My first cordless died mid-fade on a guy who just wanted a simple trim. Had to do the walk of shame back to my car for the corded backup. Felt like I was performing surgery with garden shears. Now I keep two fully charged clippers in my bag at all times, trust issues are real.

Heard a barber say his backup clippers have saved his marriage more than once. That walk of shame is real.
