Unpopular opinion: I switched from a $40 clipper to a $200 one and it's not even close
For years I used the same cheap clippers on every client in my chair, thinking the cut was all about my hand. Last month I finally bought a premium pair and the first fade I did was smoother and twice as fast, with zero pulling. What's the one tool upgrade that actually made you a better barber?

Oh man, I saw a barber on YouTube talking about this exact thing. He said a good tool doesn't replace skill, but it lets your actual skill come through without fighting the clipper. That stuck with me. Your hand still has to guide it, but a smooth motor and sharp blade take out all the extra hassle. It makes total sense that you'd work faster and cleaner. That upgrade sounds totally worth it.

Yeah exactly, it's like @finley_flores28 said, you stop thinking about the tool and just focus on the cut. That's when you actually get better.

Same thing happens with a good lawn mower.
