Had to choose between a $5 PS2 game and a $20 Steam bundle last week
I was staring at two options on a budget: a copy of Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 at a flea market for 5 bucks, or a Steam indie bundle for 20 that had 8 games in it. I went with the PS2 game because I figured it's a classic I'd actually play, and man, the disc was scratched but it booted up fine. Been hooked on couch co-op with a buddy all week, but now I'm wondering if I missed out on those Steam games. Anybody else ever gamble on a physical copy and have it pay off?

Have you ever had a digital game just kind of sit in your library unplayed? I used to think the more games the better, but that PS2 game actually getting played sounds like the wiser choice now.

Man oh man, you just reminded me of this old Xbox Live Arcade game I bought on a whim back in 2010. I saw a trailer, thought it looked cool, and then it just sat there for like 8 years. One day my internet was out and I decided to finally try it, and it was actually this super clunky but charming little platformer that I ended up beating in one sitting. So yeah, sometimes the ones we ignore end up being the best surprise, you know? Have you ever had a game like that where you waited way too long to play it?
