Just read about the mouse family eviction. Can picture the whole scene, fur and all. They probably thought the seat tube was a perfect hideout. Bet it was a messy job to clean out.

Yeah, the "messy job" part is what gets me. It reminds me of when a squirrel decided my car's air filter box was a five-star hotel for storing walnuts. Took me an hour to vacuum out all the shell pieces and chewed up insulation, and the whole car smelled like rodent for weeks. They really do pick the worst possible spots to set up shop.

Wonder if the mice were totally confused by the human-made hollow. They evolved to nest in tree trunks, not metal tubes that get carried around. Nature's instincts don't fit our stuff sometimes.
