Vent: My $40 window decal pack was a total waste of money

I bought a set of those hawk silhouette stickers for my big living room window after a robin hit it last month. They looked fine to me, but I just watched a sparrow smack right into the glass between two of the decals this morning. Are those things just a scam, or did I put them up wrong?

Try spacing them much closer together.

Angela's right about spacing, but the shape matters too. Those hawk decals don't work as well as simple white dots or strips.

Ugh, that's so frustrating! I had the same thing happen with some butterfly decals on my sunroom window. They looked nice and spaced out, but birds kept hitting the clear spots in between. I ended just putting up some strips of white masking tape in a grid pattern (looks messy, but it works). Maybe the hawk shape just doesn't break up the reflection enough for them.
