Our club had to pick between 'Project Hail Mary' and 'The Three-Body Problem' for this month
We voted and went with the Andy Weir book because more people wanted a fun, hopeful read. Honestly, the discussion was a bit flat, since everyone basically just agreed it was a cool adventure. Next time I'm pushing harder for the more challenging pick. Has anyone else's group had a sci-fi month that fell a little short?

Honestly, that's a bummer when a book club pick is too easy. Tbh I found Project Hail Mary super fun, but it's not exactly deep for a group talk. Maybe next time you could suggest a rule where everyone has to find one thing to argue about, even in a happy book. Forces some discussion. My old group did that and it saved a few meetings that were getting boring.
