Found a $2 vase at Goodwill, filled it with Trader Joe's flowers
Picked up this ugly green vase for two bucks. Looked like something from a 70s basement. Cleaned it up with some baking soda paste. Ten dollar bunch of tulips from Trader Joe's and it looks like a million bucks on my dining table. Anyone else find thrift store containers that just needed the right plant or flowers to pop?

Oh man, that is such a satisfying feeling when a thrift find finally clicks into place!

Right? The "finally clicks into place" part is spot on, @victorcoleman. But I gotta say, it's more like a slow puzzle than a quick click for me. There's always that moment where I'm like "hold on, did I buy this just because it was cheap" and then bam, a week later it works perfectly. Also, I find it's never the first thing I try on that works, it's always the third or fourth option that surprises me. That's the real magic of thrifting, the delayed gratification makes it so much sweeter.
