Hostels are overrated for solo travelers under 25
Everyone says stay in hostels to save money, but I spent $35 a night in Berlin last month at a hostel and got zero sleep because of snoring and loud groups. For $5 more I could have had a private room at a budget hotel near the train station, and actually rested for my 6am flight.

Missed my train in Prague once because I was so tired from hostel snoring I slept through my alarm. Ended up paying triple for a last minute ticket and still had to stand the whole way. My dumb ass learned nothing, just booked another hostel in Budapest thinking it would be different.

That hostel snoring is why I always pack earplugs now lol
