Wasted $30 on a fancy journal that bleeds through everything

Bought a $30 Leuchtturm1917 notebook last month because everyone raves about them, but my Pilot G2 pens bleed right through the page. Tested it with 3 different ink colors and still get ghosting on the backside. Seriously, my $8 Amazon Basics notebook handles the same pens way better. Anyone else deal with expensive notebooks that just don't hold up?

Bought one too and my ink looks like a murder scene on the back.

My first print came out looking like a bad crime scene photo honestly. @wadea53 idk what they're doing with these things but something's off for sure.

Yeah I used to be all about that Leuchtturm hype too until I actually used one. Tried a friend's and was shocked how bad the ghosting was. @olivia_webb you nailed it, it's like the ink just soaks through without any control. I thought expensive meant better paper but nope, my $12 Moleskine handles G2s way cleaner than this thing. Now I'm just using the Leuchtturm for pencil only and it's fine I guess, but definitely not worth $30 for fountain pens or anything wet. Total waste of money if you're a heavy pen user.
