Doubted the vinyl holographic trend until I tried it

Saw people using iridescent foil on bumper stickers at a swap meet in Portland last June. Thought it was gimmicky. Gave it a shot on a "Move Over" design and the rainbow shift makes people actually read it at stoplights. Sold 40 at $8 each in two weeks. Anybody else find a material they wrote off that ended up working?

couldnt agree more lol. i was the same way with those prismatic vinyls, thought they were just for people who liked shiny stuff on their laptops. then i slapped a shift-hue "keep clear" sign on my work van and now people actually move over instead of just staring at me like im an alien. the rainbow effect catches their eye way better than plain white, its like a little visual anchor for their brains.

Oh wait, that's actually a good point but I gotta say, prismatic and shift-hue are different things technically. Prismatic vinyls have that rainbow sparkle from all angles, while shift-hue changes color depending on the light angle. Your "keep clear" sign sounds more like shift-hue to me, which makes sense for visibility since it pops differently at different times of day. But honestly, whatever works, right? I've seen those prismatic wraps on mail trucks and they definitely grab attention too, just in a more glittery way. Have you tried it on anything else besides the van?
