Why does nobody talk about how much money you lose with cheap vinyl?

I spent $40 on a roll of cheap vinyl from a craft store last year and it was a TOTAL disaster. Within 2 months, the stickers started peeling off cars and fading in the sun. I had to redo about 15 orders for customers, which cost me $60 in replacement materials and shipping. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $15 on quality vinyl from a proper sign supply shop. Has anyone else had their bumper stickers fall apart from bargain materials?

Oh man, that stings (I've been there too, believe me). I grabbed a "deal" on Amazon once for a 50-foot roll of vinyl that was like $18, and the backing paper was so thin it tore every time I tried to weed a design. Plus the adhesive was garbage - it left sticky residue on everything it touched, but somehow wouldn't actually hold onto the surface? Ended up tossing the whole roll in the trash after one project, so that was basically $18 down the drain. I learned the hard way that cheap vinyl is just false economy, especially when you factor in your time and the headache of redoing work. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for, you know?

That "you get what you pay for" thing is so true in so many areas of life, @wesleyburns... it's like the universe's way of testing us with cheap stuff before we finally learn our lesson.
