Our inventory count spreadsheet crashed right at 3pm Friday

We use Google Sheets for tracking stock and it just froze up on us last week. 450 line items all gone into a gray screen. I had to pull the last backup from Tuesday and manually re-enter 3 days of shipments. Has anyone else had Sheet just die like that mid-count?

Google Sheets has a 10 million cell limit but bogs down way before that with formulas. Try running a filtered view instead of the full sheet next time.

Last Tuesday we had a similar freeze with about 600 SKUs and I ended up having to rebuild the whole sheet from scratch because Google wouldnt restore the version I needed. It took me until Sunday afternoon to get everything back to normal and I was ready to throw my laptop out the window. What really got me was that the auto-save feature actually made things worse because it saved over the good data with the corrupted version. I feel your pain on the manual re- entry, that is the worst part.
