The inventory system at my old shop was a mess until I switched to bins with QR codes
I used to run a small parts warehouse in Phoenix and we were losing about 15% of our stock every month to misplaced items. We spent 3 years just writing stuff down on paper and hoping for the best. Then I saw a video about using QR codes on storage bins and I figured why not try it for $50 worth of labels. After 2 months of setting it up and training the team our losses dropped to almost zero. The real kicker was that my guys actually liked scanning bins more than filling out forms. Has anyone else tried something similar for tracking inventory without a full blown expensive system?

Honestly that QR code idea is genius. It's wild how something so cheap and simple can make a huge difference compared to those expensive tracking systems that are a pain to set up.
