My band saw blade snapped in the middle of a 40-pound brisket in Atlanta

I was breaking down a whole packer brisket on a Tuesday afternoon, and right as I hit the point seam the blade just popped. Sent the meat sliding across the table and I had to stop everything to swap the blade while my rack filled up. Anyone else had a blade fail at the worst possible time and lose a chunk of the day?

And Markm27 has it right, a snapped blade always picks the worst moment. I read somewhere that sudden temperature changes can make metal more brittle, so maybe your brisket was still too cold from the fridge.

Man that sucks, same thing happened to me with a pork shoulder right before a holiday rush.
