Question about those $200 electric grinders vs the manual ones

I dropped $220 on a fancy electric meat grinder last fall thinking it would speed up my weekend batches. First time using it, the auger jammed on some pork shoulder that wasn't cold enough. Took me 20 minutes to disassemble and clean the mess. My old hand-crank grinder from a flea market cost $15 and never gave me that headache. The electric one does make quick work of burger grind though, so I'm torn. Anyone else find that the cheaper manual option does a better job for smaller batches?

My $120 electric grinder sits in the basement gathering dust since I went back to the manual one. For anything under 10 pounds the hand crank is way less hassle and I don't have to freeze the meat first.

Did your buddy try that and end up tossing his crank handle through the drywall?
