Saw a custom bar in a Nashville hotel with the craziest mitered waterfall edge

It was a solid walnut top, and the joint was so tight I couldn't even feel the seam. How do you guys clamp something that big without getting any creep?

That's not a miter, it's a butt joint with a spline.
