Back when I used a hammer stapler for cat6 drops instead of a proper pneumatic gun

Used to spend 20 minutes per drop hammering staples into baseboards until I borrowed a coworker's pneumatic gun on a job in Phoenix last August and finished the whole floor in half the time, has anyone else made that switch and felt dumb for not doing it sooner?

Honestly I think some of you guys get way too caught up in saving a few minutes here and there. Like yeah a pneumatic gun is nice and all but you're acting like hammering staples by hand was some kind of medieval torture. I've been doing cat6 drops for over fifteen years and I still use a hammer stapler half the time because I don't feel like dragging an air compressor around every job site. Twenty minutes per drop sounds like an exaggeration anyway unless you're fighting with a cheap stapler that jams constantly. Maybe the real problem wasn't the tool but the user.

It's funny how we all have that one thing we're stubborn about until someone shoves a better way in our face, like using a dish sponge until your buddy shows you a scrub brush and suddenly you're mad at yourself lol.
