Chasing a bad ground on a Comcast install took me 4 hours last Tuesday

I had a customer whose modem kept rebooting every 10 minutes and I figured it was a bad ground somewhere in the line. After swapping splitters, checking every connector, and even running a new drop from the tap, turns out it was a corroded ground block on the side of the house that I walked past like 3 times. Has anyone else spent way too long hunting something simple just because you didn't check the obvious spot first?

Man, I feel your pain on this one... those kinds of jobs stick with you. It's always the thing you glance over a dozen times that ends up being the culprit. Glad you finally got it sorted, because that constant rebooting is enough to drive anyone crazy.
