Rethinking my drill habit after a vintage house job

I like drilling new holes for the best signal, but my team says using old conduits prevents wall damage. How do you guys decide?

Hey, ever think those old pipes might trap you later if you need bigger cables?

Totally see this with old tech stuff in general. Like how phone chargers keep changing every few years and nothing fits anymore. Makes you wonder what current things will feel outdated in another decade.

Those old PVC pipes from the 90s often have extra room inside. I've pulled fiber through them and there's usually space for bigger cables too. The trap is more about cracked fittings or bends... not the pipe size itself.
