Swapped my crimper for a Klein Kurve and tested it on 50 terminations yesterday

The ratcheting action made every connection feel solid, old one would skip and cause rework. Has anyone else seen a big difference switching to a better ratcheting tool?

Does your old one feel like it crushes more than it crimps? I had a similar jump and the difference was night and day. It's surprising how much smoother the ratchet makes the whole process.

Talking about that made me remember what happened to my buddy Steve. He picked up one of those old school presses at a garage sale for like 20 bucks, all rusted and beat up. He was fighting with it for months, every crimp looked like someone stepped on the case. I told him to get a new one with a ratchet and he was all "nah, this is fine" until we were loading some 9mm and the handle slipped and he almost crushed his finger. He finally bought a cheap Lee with a ratchet and called me that night just to say "dude, I'm an idiot for waiting this long.
