Appreciation post: a cheap shoe organizer finally fixed the rat's nest behind my TV stand
I had about 9 cables tangled back there, and every time I unplugged the router I was digging through a knot for 10 minutes. Last week I hung a $9 hanging shoe organizer on the wall behind the stand and fed each cord through its own pocket. Now everything has its own spot, and I can swap out the HDMI cable in about 15 seconds. It looks kind of silly, but why did I wait so long to try something this dumb?

Man I feel this in my soul, that cable knot behind the tv stand is a universal struggle. Using a shoe organizer for it is actually kinda genius, cheap and it just works. Way better than dropping 40 bucks on some fancy cable box.
