The electrician who laughed at my zip tie jungle had one simple trick
He showed me that wrapping wires in a spiral, not straight, lets you pull one cable out without unstuffing the whole mess behind my desk, and I've done it that way ever since; has anyone else gotten advice from a pro that made you feel silly for years of struggling?

Wait so does the spiral thing actually keep them from tangling when you add new stuff later, or do you still end up with a mess every time you swap something out? Because I tried something like that once and it looked great for like a week... then I plugged in one more thing and it all went sideways. How long have you been doing it this way?
