Hit 50 nights in my tent this year and my back finally gave up on the old sleeping pad
I never counted before but hitting 50 nights made me realize my $40 pad was wrecking my sleep and now I'm looking at spending at least $150 on an upgrade has anyone else hit a number that forced a gear change?

Honestly, I read somewhere that a bad sleeping pad is basically a guaranteed recipe for back problems after a while, and your story totally proves that point. Tbh, 50 nights is a lot of time to be miserable, and your $40 pad was just not cutting it anymore. I've heard people say the jump to a $150 pad is worth it because your spine actually gets proper support instead of just a thin layer of foam. Ngl, spending that much hurts, but your back will thank you after the first night of solid sleep.
