Serious question, I had to pick between a 12-foot roll and two 6-foot pieces for a long hallway job in a Phoenix split-level last Tuesday.

I went with the single roll to avoid a seam down the main walkway, and the extra time spent wrestling it was totally worth it for the clean look, but does anyone have a good trick for handling those long rolls solo on stairs?

Accordion fold sounds way smarter than my method which was basically just praying and sweating.

That Phoenix heat makes long rolls even harder to handle. Did you try folding it like an accordion before you took it up the stairs?

Fold it like an accordion? Man, I wish I had thought of that. I just wrestled with the whole thing and nearly dropped it twice. Next time I'm definitely trying that trick, because this heat turns everything into a sticky, floppy mess. Makes you get creative just to get through the day.
