Switched to a seam roller instead of knee kicker for long hallways
I used to always use my knee kicker for stretching seams on long runs, but last month on a 40-foot hallway in Denver I tried a weighted seam roller and it cut my time by almost half. No more sore knees and the seams lay flatter with way less effort. Has anyone else made this swap or stick with the old way?

Dude I tried a weighted roller on a 50 foot run in Phoenix last year and went straight back to my knee kicker the next day. The roller just didn't put enough tension into the carpet for me, I had to go back and re-stretch three spots where it bubbled up after a week. Knee kicker might beat up your knees but at least you know the carpet is locked in tight, especially on those long hallways where the subfloor is concrete.

@gavinhunt that Denver hallway was concrete too, I did a test stretch first with the roller to be sure.
