Hot take: Getting a parking permit in Chicago took me 5 months

Everyone told me it would take maybe a week to get a residential parking permit for my new place in Logan Square. Five months later and three trips to the city office on LaSalle, I finally got the sticker. The problem was nobody told me my lease had to be notarized separately from the signed copy. Has anyone else had the city drag their feet on basic stuff like this?

Waited four months for a simple zoning permit myself, total nightmare of red tape.
