The Loop's bike lanes are worse after the 'safety' redesign

Last Tuesday I tried cutting through Dearborn on my way to work and nearly got clipped twice because they moved the protected lane right into the bus stop zone. Who actually approved this layout, and has anyone else had to bail onto the sidewalk to avoid the 6 bus?

idk, I ride that stretch almost daily and the bus zone thing is annoying but the concrete barrier is way safer than the old paint. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather slow down for a bus than have a delivery van clip my handlebar.

Damn, getting squeezed by the bus is legit scary. I've had to do the same bail onto the sidewalk thing near the Addison stop, and it's sketchy as hell when there's pedestrians around. The concrete barrier does help with cars, sure, but they clearly didn't think about how buses pull right up to the curb. Nearly ate it last week when a bus came in hot and I had nowhere to go. It's frustrating that they call it a safety upgrade when it just moves the danger around.
