Bought a dehumidifier for my garage last June and it still hasn't dried the air enough

I've got a '72 Challenger sitting in an uninsulated garage in Ohio and after five months running a 50-pint unit every day, the humidity gauge still reads 65%. Is fighting moisture in a non-sealed space even worth it or should I just bite the bullet and insulate the whole place?

Read somewhere that sealing and insulating is basically step one before a dehumidifier does any real good in a garage. You might be fighting a losing battle trying to dry out the whole outside.

Exactly, without stopping the air leaks you're just drying the whole neighborhood.
