Hit my first 100 pounds of compost from my kitchen scraps

Honestly I wasn't even tracking it close, just tossing peels and eggshells into my bin. Last weekend I dumped out the finished pile and it filled three big buckets. That's 100 pounds I didn't send to the landfill. Anyone else surprised by how fast their compost builds up once you get consistent?

haha dude jake_hall88 is out here doing MATH on my compost pile. That's some next level dedication right there. Honestly I wouldn't know the exact weight because I don't own a scale big enough to weigh THREE buckets of dirt without looking like a weirdo in my backyard. But you know what, let's call it 75 pounds then. That's still 75 pounds of food scraps I didn't throw in a trash bag for some truck to haul away. My wife jokes that I'm just making expensive dirt because of all the coffee grounds I throw in there. She's probably right but hey, I'm saving the planet one eggshell at a time.

Nah, 3 buckets of finished compost is closer to 75 pounds with moisture factored in.
