Wasted $400 on a ‘universal’ tool presetter that barely worked for my setup

Honestly, it claimed to work with any CNC mill, but it slipped every time I tried to measure a 3-inch endmill. Anyone else get burned by cheap presetters that just aren't accurate for production runs?

Same here, mine wobbled worse than a $20 drill chuck.

Yeah that "wobbled worse than a $20 drill chuck" line hits hard. I used to swear by those universal presetters but after my last one drifted mid-run I finally gave in and bought a proper one for my machine.
