Shoutout to the roadside stand in Oregon that served the worst coffee I've ever had.

Their brew was so bad it made gas station coffee taste gourmet.

Missed that stand last time... we actually pulled over for their coffee and it was weirdly good? Like, heavy and kinda sweet, but not bad.

You're right about the wild swings, @iris_ellis. It's like they have one amazing barista who shows up on random Tuesdays. The rest of the time, it's just someone's cousin who doesn't drink coffee trying to run the machine. That gamble is the whole experience.

Seriously, this is the most REAL thing ever. It's like those tiny places have ZERO consistency. One day it's motor oil, the next day it's weirdly perfect. I see this everywhere, not just coffee. You get a haircut from the same person and it's a totally different experience each time. The wild swings make you notice it MORE, you know? It's the gamble that makes the good stuff feel like a secret win.
