Appreciation post: I used to think collecting variant covers was a waste of money, but a guy at my local shop in Akron changed my mind.

He convinced me it's about the art, not just the story inside.

That Akron guy must be a good salesman. I still can't see spending extra for a different picture on the cover.

It's a weird hill to die on, but he's right.
