The difference in my local shop's back issue bins from 2018 to now is wild
I stopped by Comic Kingdom on 4th Street last week and noticed their back issue bins used to be stacked with silver age stuff for 50 cents each. Back in 2018 I pulled an early X-Men issue from there no problem. Now it's all modern variants and $5 minimum for anything older than 2010. What happened to the days when you could dig through cheap bins for hours? Has anyone else seen their local shop shift that hard in just 6 years?

Scalpers and YouTube ruined the hunt.

Oh man, tell me about it. I had a buddy who used to hit up this old shop in the suburbs every Saturday. He found a near-mint copy of Amazing Spider-Man #129 back in 2017 for just a couple bucks. He couldn't believe it. Last year he went back to the same store and the owner had completely priced everything out, even the beat up books from the 90s were $8 or more. He said the owner told him flat out that the whole YouTube hype train made it so he couldn't afford to keep cheap bins anymore. It really bummed him out.
