The plastic bag trick for pressing comics is pointless

I keep seeing new collectors put their books in plastic bags before putting them in a press. All that does is trap air and make wrinkles worse. I pressed 50 books last month with just the boards and got way better results.

Blamed my cat for the stack of books on my desk then realized I was just making excuses to buy more presses, @brooke484. Actually I tried the bag thing ONCE and ended up with a book that looked like it had been sleeping on a wrinkled sheet. Raw dogging it with just boards and heat is the ONLY way to go for flatness. Learned that lesson the hard way when I pressed a key issue and it came out looking like a potato chip.
