Framing a whole garage alone was dumb and I'd do it again
Everyone on here says you should never frame solo, but I did it last month on a 24x24 garage in Boise because my guy bailed and the slab was already poured. I was setting a 16 foot wall by myself, lost my footing on a sawhorse, and the whole thing came down on the corner, cracking two studs I had to cut out and replace the next morning. I bought a $70 wall jack from the hardware store on State Street and had the rest of the walls up by myself in two days with zero help. The inspector even said my corners looked cleaner than most crews he sees. Anyone else frame solo on purpose, or am I the only one here who thinks two guys is actually slower on small jobs?
