I figured out a way to get clients to actually read the scope of work before signing
Started adding a single, simple bullet point at the top that says 'This contract does NOT include: [one specific, common request like 'moving existing furniture']' and my change order requests dropped by half in the last two months, anyone else try something like this?

Honestly that seems like a bad move. You're just training clients to look for what's not included instead of reading the full scope. Now they'll assume everything else is fair game and you'll get even more wild requests. It sets a negative tone right from the start, like you're already arguing. Better to have a clear, positive list of what you do provide and talk it through with them. This trick might cut some simple change orders now, but it hurts trust long term.

hurts trust long term" feels like a stretch, it's just a list.
