Walked into a bathroom at Lowe's and found a contractor napping in a stall

I was at the big box store off I-85 last Tuesday grabbing some PVC fittings when I heard snoring coming from the family restroom. Some guy in Carhartts had propped his boots against the door with a sign taped up that said "Lunch break, back in 20." Has anyone else stumbled across weird contractor hideouts in weird spots?

I mean honestly good for that guy, dude is probably working his tail off on some renovation and just needed a quiet spot to crash for a few minutes. Working construction is brutal, especially when you're on someone else's clock and the nearest fast food place is twenty minutes away. I've seen way worse hiding spots-guys sleeping in their work vans in the parking lot with the windows cracked, or curled up on a pallet of mulch in the garden center. It's kind of sad that a Lowe's bathroom stall is their best option for a break, you know?

Oh man, is that not the truth? I found a guy dead asleep in the gardening shed behind my local Home Depot once, just curled up on a bag of soil with his hard hat over his face. Felt bad even waking him up, you know? He had that concrete dust all over his boots and his gloves were worn through... bet he'd been laying block since 5 AM. I just walked away and let him sleep. It's rough out there for the trades guys, especially when the GCs push for those 10-hour days with no real lunch break. Makes you appreciate the guys building your deck when you're not looking, honestly.
