A client in Denver said my color work saved her wedding day
She came in with a box dye disaster two days before her ceremony, and her hair was a patchy orange mess. I spent six hours doing a corrective color and a full balayage to get her back to a natural blonde. What's the most stressful last minute fix you've ever pulled off for a client?

Ever had a client show up with a legit chemical cut from a box bleach job right before a huge event? I had one where the hair was just melting off during the consult. Spent the whole night doing the gentlest possible protein treatments and a super short, textured cut to make it look intentional. She cried from relief, not horror, which felt like a win.

Oh man, that's the real superhero work right there. My version of saving the day is usually just finding a lost bobby pin.

Wait, isn't a protein treatment risky on hair that's already melted? I always heard you need moisture first, because protein can make over-processed hair even more brittle and snap off. The goal is to get some flexibility back before you try to add strength. I'd be so scared to put protein on hair that's actively breaking down. Maybe it worked because the treatment was super gentle, but that's playing with fire.
