A client in Denver said "you're not a doctor" and now I'm rethinking how I sell color corrections
She sat in my chair 3 weeks ago after another stylist left her brassy orange, and when I started explaining the 3 sessions it would take, she cut me off with "you're not a doctor, just fix it." I laughed it off and did a plain single process that day, but I've been chewing on it since. The thing is, she had a point about how I explain things, all my disclaimers and pre-booked appointments probably sound like I'm building a bill instead of solving her problem. I switched to showing a photo of where the color sits now versus where it lands after round one, and she booked the follow up on the spot. Curious if any of you have dropped the technical talk and seen booking rates change.
