Shoutout to that time my festival makeup got way too intense

So last summer, I let a friend practice her new glitter techniques on me before a music festival. She was all excited about this waterproof glitter gel she bought. Next thing I know, I'm covered in silver sparkles from forehead to chin. We went out, and within an hour, sweat made the glitter run into my eyes. I was blinking like crazy, and people kept asking if I was crying metallic tears. Had to rinse my face with a water bottle in a porta potty, which was its own kind of nightmare. Now I stick to basic eyeliner for outdoor events.

Rinse your face in a porta potty? That reminds me of this time at a camping trip where my buddy mistook a jug of cloudy water for clean rinse water. It was actually leftover water from washing dishes, full of food bits and soap. He splashed it on his face before we could stop him. He spent the next ten minutes sputtering and wiping his eyes. We still give him a hard time about that.
