My cousin's kid beat me at Overcooked and made a point about teamwork
We were at a family thing in Toledo over the holidays, and my 10-year-old cousin's kid wanted to play a game. I set up Overcooked 2, thinking it would be a fun mess. We got into a level with moving walkways and I started barking orders, trying to be the boss. After we failed the third time, he just looked at me and said, 'You keep telling me what to do, but you're not doing your own job right.' He was right. I was so focused on his part that I kept burning the rice. We tried again, I shut up and just focused on my station, and we got three stars. It made me think about how easy it is to blame others in co-op games when the real problem is your own focus. Has anyone else had a kid totally school them on how to actually play a team game?

That bit about "the real problem is your own focus" is interesting, but I see it the other way. Sometimes the problem is someone else not pulling their weight, and you have to speak up. The kid's advice works with a good partner, but not always.

My friend Carla had a roommate who never cleaned, and after six months of quiet frustration, she finally had to set some hard rules.

Six months is way too long to live with a dirty roommate. Carla's patience is a superpower I don't have, lmao. I would have lost it after six days.
