Spent $400 on a fancy anti-two block system and it saved my ass today

Bought a Rayco Wylie i5200 last month after my old one kept glitching out. Came in at $387 total with shipping from a place in Houston. Had a blind pick over a school today and it chirped at me right as the hook got close to the boom tip. Any of yall running these newer ones or still sticking with the older mechanical stuff?

$400 and nobody ever talks about how that chirp saves your insurance rates too.

Joke about it all the time that my car's basically held together by that little chirp and duct tape. Got a quote from my insurance agent last month and they said the discount actually covers the cost of the detector itself plus like a free coffee. Still feels weird paying $400 for a smoke alarm though, like I'm funding the inventor's retirement or something.

$387 and it chirps at you before you turn the school into a pancake... sounds worth it to me. Juliawalker's right though, nobody mentions how that little noise pays for itself in insurance breaks.
