Showerthought: My $10 password manager subscription saved me from a $500 phishing scam last month

I got an email that looked exactly like my bank's login page. It even had the right logo and formatting. I almost clicked the link, but my password manager didn't autofill because the domain was wrong. That little popup saved me from giving a scammer my credentials. How much have you spent on security tools that actually worked when it counted?

Honestly I used to think password managers were overkill but that popup saved my butt too.

Dude, same thing almost happened to me. That little popup from my password manager weirdly calling out the wrong URL is the only reason I didn't hand over my login to some scammer. Now I just let the manager fill everything in, and if it doesn't, I ain't typing a thing.
