I finally stopped skipping the color profile step in my workflow

I kept seeing amazing pieces online that looked flat and washed out on my phone, and it clicked that it was a color space mismatch. Now I always embed the sRGB profile before I upload anything to Instagram. What's one small step that made a big difference in how your art looks online?

Check out your art on a cheap phone screen next to a high end monitor. That's where you see the difference. Markm27, if your stuff looks fine, maybe your colors are already safe and dull without you knowing. My old photos looked muddy until I fixed the profile step. It's not extra work, it's making sure what I see is what everyone else gets.

Honestly the whole "embed the profile" thing feels like overkill. Most platforms just strip that data anyway, so you're doing extra work for nothing. My stuff looks fine just exporting straight from my program. All those color spaces just overcomplicate a simple process.
