That one art exhibit where I accidentally set off the fire alarm

I was showing my digital paintings at a small gallery in Portland last Saturday. Someone brought in a fog machine for their video installation and it tripped the sprinkler heads in the back room. Water dripped onto my tablet display and ruined the screen before I could grab it. Has anyone else had their gear wrecked at a showcase event like this?

Ruined my tablet display" - damn, that's brutal. I would've been so mad I'd probably have to be physically restrained from going full Hulk on that fog machine guy.

Actually holding the guy responsible would have been the SMART move. You could've gotten a full replacement for your tablet AND maybe some compensation for the inconvenience.
